The short answer

Walter Langkowski — Sasquatch — is voiced by Jeff Nordling (credited elsewhere as Jeffrey Nordling) in Marvel's Wolverine. Nordling is an American actor born in 1962, best known as Gordon Klein in HBO's Big Little Lies, FBI agent Larry Moss in season 7 of 24, and Nick Bolen in Desperate Housewives. Wolverine is not his first game: he played Ethan in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. In the game Walter is an ally at Logan's base who is taken by The Hand and freed late in the campaign.

The credit, and where it comes from

Jeff Nordling is listed as Sasquatch / Walter Langkowski in the credits-derived cast lists published by Destructoid and in his Wikipedia filmography. Some listings spell the surname “Lankowski”; it is the same role.

Walter and Sasquatch are one character. In the game he is mostly “Walter”, which is why people search “Walter voice actor Wolverine” rather than the hero name. If you only want to know who the character is, our who is Walter guide covers it, and the comics origin is on Walter Langkowski’s profile.

Where you know Jeff Nordling from

If the voice sounded familiar, it is probably from television. Nordling has worked steadily since the late 1980s:

YearTitleRole
1994Quiz ShowJohn Van Doren
1999–2002Once and AgainJake Manning
2006Flight 93 (TV film)Tom Burnett
200924, season 7FBI agent Larry Moss
2009–2010Desperate HousewivesNick Bolen
2010Tron: LegacyRichard Mackey
2016SullyBarry Leonard
2017–2019Big Little LiesGordon Klein

His earlier game credit is Ethan, the combat robot in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (2016). Like Walter, Ethan is the steady, dry-humoured support character beside a more volatile lead.

What Walter does in the game

Light spoilers. Walter is an ally, not a villain. He works from a lab at Logan’s base in the early missions, is taken by The Hand and held in Shinjuku, and Logan frees him in mission 28, This Was The Dream, which unlocks the Small Mercies trophy. The mission-by-mission table is on the Walter page, and the surrounding missions are in the walkthrough.

He was never in a trailer or on the marketed villain roster, so most players only hear his name once they reach him, and that is when the voice-actor searches start.

The rest of the cast

Liam McIntyre plays Logan, Troy Baker plays Nathaniel Essex, Krizia Bajos plays Jean Grey, Nicole Pacent plays Mystique, and Debra Wilson plays Callisto. Every credited role is in the full voice cast table.
