PS5 Marvel's Wolverine Limited Edition

All pricing is from the PlayStation Blog announcement of August 11, 2026. Pre-orders opened August 19, 2026 at 10:00 AM local time, with release on September 15, 2026 in limited quantities.

The PS5 Digital Edition – Marvel's Wolverine Battle Yellow Limited Edition Bundle contains three things:

• A limited edition PS5 Digital Edition console in Battle Yellow
• A matching Battle Yellow DualSense wireless controller
• A voucher for the game, including the pre-order digital content

Note the Digital Edition part: this console has no disc drive. VGC confirmed the model in its coverage. If you buy physical games, this bundle is the wrong purchase — buy covers for a disc console instead.

Battle Yellow takes its colour from the Battle Reborn suit Insomniac designed for the game — a bright yellow shell with black claw slashes torn through it, exposing a darker layer underneath.

Adamantium is the alternative: a premium metallic silver-grey finish with see-through claw slashes cut into it. It covers the DualSense and the PS5 Pro cover set.

The designs come from comic artist Jock, who described the project as combining cutting-edge hardware with the energy of hand-drawn ink lines. That hand-inked quality is what separates these from a standard colour swap.

The covers ship as separate SKUs for separate consoles, and they are not interchangeable:

• PS5 Console Covers – Battle Yellow fits the PS5 Slim, including the disc-drive model.
• PS5 Pro Console Covers – Battle Yellow fits the PS5 Pro only.
• PS5 Pro Console Covers – Adamantium also fits the PS5 Pro only.

Buying the wrong one is the single most common mistake with PS5 cover releases. Confirm which console model you own before ordering — the Slim and Pro shells are different shapes.

The primary channel is direct.playstation.com, available in the US, UK, France, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Spain, Portugal, Italy and Austria. Select retailers worldwide also carry stock, with regional availability varying.

Eligible pre-orders were offered free launch-day delivery. PlayStation also published a separate Southeast Asia announcement covering that region's channels.

These are limited-quantity products. Expect them to sell out and to appear on resale markets at a markup — official channels first, always, and treat restock announcements as coming from PlayStation rather than from third-party trackers.

Six products with overlapping designs makes for an easy mistake. The decision reduces to what hardware you already own.

No PS5 yet? The Battle Yellow bundle at $649.99 is the whole package — console, matching controller and a game voucher. The catch is that it is a Digital Edition with no disc drive, so it is wrong for anyone who buys physical games.

Own a PS5 Slim? You need the PS5 Console Covers – Battle Yellow set, which fits the Slim including the disc-drive model. The Pro cover sets will not fit.

Own a PS5 Pro? You have two options — Battle Yellow or Adamantium — both in PS5 Pro-specific SKUs.

Just want the controller? Both DualSense designs sell separately at $84.99 and work with any PS5.

The colourway is not an arbitrary marketing choice — it is lifted directly from the game.

Battle Yellow takes its shade from the Battle Reborn suit Insomniac designed for this game, a reworking of the classic yellow-and-blue Tiger Stripe look with Astonishing X-Men elements. The console shell carries black claw slashes torn through that yellow, exposing a darker layer beneath.

Adamantium takes the opposite approach: a premium metallic silver-grey finish with see-through claw slashes cut into it, referencing the metal bonded to Logan's skeleton.

Comic artist Jock designed both, and described the appeal as combining cutting-edge hardware with the energy of hand-drawn ink lines. That hand-inked quality — slashes that read as drawn rather than printed — is what separates these from a standard colour variant.

If you arrived here looking for a Collector's Edition of the game itself, it does not exist. Insomniac confirmed there is no physical Collector's Edition for this release — no statue, no art book bundle, no steelbook package.

The hardware line is what Sony did instead. It is a different kind of product — you get a console or accessories rather than game-adjacent collectibles — but it is the only premium physical option attached to this launch.
